The machine hadn’t been locked, but locked with a locking mechanism. A woman observed the three teenagers aged 12 and 14 from Braunau stealing drinks, sweets, snacks and cash from the machine. She called the police. When the officers came, the youths were sitting in the station building eating the snacks. One of the three guys had stuffed both pockets with loose change.
The three admitted the crime. They were arrested and taken to the police station. After the facts were established, the young people were handed over to their legal guardians. The machine suffered material damage of an unknown amount.
