Conaprole denounces the blocking of 130,000 liters of milk by workers

Conaprole denounced that the Association of Workers and Employees of Conaprole (AOEC) blocks the supply of milk to the market and harms producers who cannot deliver the raw material to the milking plant Villa Rodriguez, despite the fact that the workers had guaranteed the arrival of the milk to the gondolas.

The company issued a statement in which it reported on the measure carried out by the union, a “total stoppage of the Villa Rodríguez plant”, which prevents the exit of 130,000 liters of whole UHT, ready to be placed in gondolas.

According to Conaprole, the measure of force was resolved this morning by the workers after the business request to load the milk to supply the market, “at a time when there is a shortage of the product, generated by the conflict that the union is carrying out over the installation of a new packaging machine”.

Apparently, and given the lack of response from the union, the company would have advanced with logistics on its own. Faced with this, “the union responded that it ‘does not enable’ the release of merchandise and resolved to stop activities at the plant,” explained Conaprole.

According to National Cooperative of Milk Producersthe continuity of the measures could compromise the state of the raw material sent by the producers, which is why it seeks dialogue with the workers so that they review “the unfounded measures adopted”.

How is the conflict?

Currently, the union conflict between Conaprole and AOEC remains unresolved, and since yesterday the workers have carried out their tasks according to regulations, with assemblies in all plants and two-hour strikes per shift. Meanwhile, next Wednesday the 17th there will be a Extraordinary general assembly that could imply greater measures of force.

According to the union, this line of action can lead to shortages of some specific dairy products in the gondolas such as Yogurts, desserts, flans, gelatin, Lactolate, half-life milk, Biotop, lactose-free, spreadable and melted cheeses, and sandwich cheeses.

However, the union had reiterated its “commitment” to receive all the milk that the producers send these days, as well as to process the existing raw material to avoid production losses and shortages of fresh milk for the population. Something that, according to the company, would not be happening.
