Pure stress before the opening of the 3rd eMobility Days on the grounds of the ÖAMTC driving technique center in Marchtrenk: During the night, gusts of wind had torn away half of the tents. “We didn’t find part of the tarpaulin anymore,” said a yellow helper in the OÖN conversation early in the morning. When the first visitors streamed onto the site at around 9 a.m., all the tents were up again.
For two days, 30 exhibitors provided information about e-mobility: from Schmachtl (Linz, fast chargers) to MyEsel (Traun, wooden e-bikes) and Keba (Linz, wall boxes). And of course car dealerships invited to test drives. In addition to the Teslas, the most sought-after of the 80 models included the Chinese brands such as BYD.
Not just look
“These are the eMobility Days: Here you can not only look at the vehicles, but also test them properly,” says ÖAMTC-OÖ Director Harald Großauer. The club would like to bring people closer to e-mobility in times of great change and provide extensive information on complex topics such as charging e-cars.
“We offer climate-neutral wall boxes,” says Gerhard Wimmer from Linzer Keba. No more plastic packaging, solar power, etc.: The company reduced the CO2 emissions per box from 83 kilograms to 0. Keba offers its own wall box for company car drivers, which can distinguish between company cars and private cars and automatically sends bills over the Internet.
The Trauner wooden bicycle forge MyEsel presented the gravel road bike: a racing bike with coarse rubber. “The electric version is coming soon,” said Nici Altenstrasser in the OÖN interview. The racing bike with an electric motor will weigh around 15 kilograms.
“The driving data of our Elaris models are stored on one Viennese server at most,” says importer Bernhard Kern. In contrast to other manufacturers, the e-car manufacturer Elaris aims to only store its users’ data in the car itself.
The Ansfeldner Team 2000 is offering the Wast Odin e-motorcycle from 6990 euros. The wheel hub motor has an output of 10 kW and looks like the BMW in-line three-cylinder. Range: 120 to 200 kilometers. What makes it so special is that the battery can be charged using a Type 2 plug.
