When descending from the Dachsteinblick (1559 meters above sea level) near Steinbach am Attersee, a young woman from Hörsching (Linz-Land district) took the wrong path on Tuesday.
When a thunderstorm set in, she did not climb to the Mahdlgupf, but in the direction of Weißenbachtal and finally lost her bearings. The mountain rescue service received an emergency call, and the helicopter was finally able to free the hiker from her predicament before another thunderstorm swept over Lake Attersee.
