The Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining, Omar Paganini, confirmed the modifications, after questions from the Broad Front.
He government modified the decree on the entry of private parties to the supply of renewable energy, by acknowledging “some ambiguities that could generate problems”, in the midst of discussions and claims on the part of the representative of the broad front in the directory of UTE, Fernanda Cardona.

This was confirmed by Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining, Omar Paganini, when pointing out that “there were indeed some amenable objections” to the measure published at the beginning of the month, by which cardona had filed an appeal to challenge the initiative.
After a meeting with representatives of UTE, the secretary of the Presidency, Alvaro Delgado, and the director of the Office of Planning and Budget (OPP), Isaac Alfie, Paganini confided that “some adjustments were made” to define what the wholesale market is and avoid these ambiguities.
Regarding the decree, the hierarch maintained that “it will work, without changing the substance of the situation at all.” The main difference is that it defines “from a certain power level which are the large consumers that are going to participate in the market”, he specified.
