The 35-year-old man was processing sawn timber in the sawmill at the facility around 9:45 p.m. As he was working with his left hand underneath a conveyor belt, a wave caught him in his clothing and his left arm became trapped between the shaft and the conveyor belt. He alerted his colleagues to the accident by screaming. They immediately switched off the system and freed the victim. After emergency medical first aid, the 35-year-old Czech was admitted to the UKH Linz with injuries of an indeterminate degree.
