A passerby called the police at 8:45 a.m., who found the suspect at the bus stop. The man immediately put the ax on the ground and was temporarily arrested, but then released on orders from the Vienna public prosecutor’s office. No one was injured, the police emphasized in a statement. The ax was seized.
