The “OÖN-Christkindl” is spreading its wings again in the run-up to Christmas to help people in need in Upper Austria. You too can support it – with your visit to Johann Strauss’ operetta “Die Fledermaus” on November 25th in the Linz Music Theater and the big Christkindl Gala on December 14th in the Linz Schauspielhaus, where many well-known artists will once again be involved to the good cause.

“Operetta as it should be – entertaining, stimulating and yet socially critical, frivolous and piquant,” was OÖN music critic Michael Wruss’s praise after the premiere for the production of Thomas Enzinger’s “Fledermaus”, which was “with the musical zeal” of Bruckner Orchestra under Marc Reibel and a fine ensemble of singers invites you to a lavishly opulent operetta festival.

Gala with music, dance, word art

Traditionally, the Landestheater Linz supports the OÖNachrichten charity campaign again with the Christkindl Gala in the Schauspielhaus am Promenade: This time, the Linz actress Chris Pichler is serving the good cause with a reading, and the Landestheater dance ensemble Tanz.Linz is showing excerpts from it the current choreography “Romeo and Juliet” by Caroline Finn.

Andie Gabauer lends his voice to the gala, as does jazz acrobat Chanda Rule, the hard choir Next Generation under its leader Alexander Koller and “Beda mit Palme”. The Blech Brothers are playing, and the Goaßlschnalzer Munderfing are also there. The evening will be moderated by singer Eric Papilaya.
