As part of a theater pedagogical project run by the Center for Violence Prevention, 3rd and 4th grade students are taught that their bodies belong only to them, that they should trust their feelings and get help in unpleasant situations. Because the project is now being carried out for the tenth time, the Center for Violence Prevention honored the elementary schools and the city of Steyr.
The “My Body Belongs to Me” project helps children differentiate between yes and no feelings. A parents’ evening takes place beforehand.
The city is providing around 12,500 euros for the prevention project this year.
