The biker was on the L 1039, the Sonnleitner Landesstraße, in St. Johann am Walde towards Unterminathal at around 6 p.m. when a 67-year-old turned from a driveway into the street. The motorcycle grazed the car.

The 28-year-old biker was seriously injured and had to be taken to hospital by emergency helicopter. The driver and his passenger were uninjured but were in shock.
The L 1039 was closed for about an hour.
