The officers had actually noticed the man because he was steering his bike with one hand and talking on the phone at the same time. When they stopped the man on Pollheimerstrasse at around 2:45 p.m., they noticed a strong smell of alcohol. A breathalyzer test confirmed their suspicions: the 56-year-old had 2.74 per mille of alcohol in his system. The man refused to take a test with the calibrated breathalyzer. A report will be filed, the police announced on Monday evening.
