“All water levels in Upper Austria are currently falling,” the state said this morning. Only the Danube level in Achleiten, Linz and Mauthausen is currently above alarm level 0. The highest water level in Grein was reached during the night, and no further rise is expected. In Linz, the water level of the Danube fell to 606 centimeters at 6 a.m. on Wednesday morning. On Tuesday afternoon, it reached its highest level of 712 centimeters, and since then the water level has been falling continuously.

Water levels in Bavaria remain consistently high
Since the water levels of the Bavarian Danube remain constant and very high, the state is preparing for a slow decline in the Upper Austrian Danube. However, the situation should ease completely in the coming days.
