The sectors that benefit from Father’s Day are only partially identical to those in which people shop for Mother’s Day: instead of flowers on the list of top gifts, there are sweets. Specifically, 28 percent of people name chocolates and pralines as planned gifts.

In second place are restaurant visits or vouchers for joint activities, followed by homemade items in third place. Fathers are given beer, spirits or other drinks almost as often. Most fathers say that a Father’s Day gift is not absolutely necessary, but they would still be happy to receive one.
