This Sunday morning the 199th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence was held in La Piedra Alta in the department of Florida, which was attended by the president as well as the vice president, Beatriz Argimón. “I am clear that freedom is the driving force that drives us to achieve our projects; it is the motivation to always try to improve the reality in which we live,” he said, adding: “We talk about freedom when we build hospitals, taking care of the health of every person who lives on Uruguayan soil. We talk about freedom when we build schools because we bring education to every corner of the country, but above all we offer a future to each of our boys and girls.”
