In a video posted on social media, the former Masterchef said: “I urgently need to find staff to work in the rotisserie, people with experience and who have the possibility of coming to the premises in Capital Federal without traveling so much. That happens to us. We get a lot of people from far away who can go to work, but as you know it is very expensive. If there are people from the Capital who want to cook, serve and assist in the Mon Poulet rotisserie, I would be very grateful if you would send us your CV to the email address I will provide.”
Cristophe Krywonis: “Salaries do not keep pace with the increase in transport costs”
And in a conversation with Urbana Play, he added: “Salaries do not keep up with the increase in transportation costs that there is at the moment. I have kids who come to work and have to travel four hours and pay between $4,000 and $4,500 per day to come to work. Knowing that they come to work six days a week. It is a very important amount at the end of the month that greatly affects their finances.”
“I have a girl who lives in La Plata and loves her job and we love the way she works. And well, she told me that in 15 days she can no longer come because of the trip and she asked me if we could help her. Our problem is not helping one person, but the 32 employees we have at the rotisserie right now, and the numbers don’t add up. There is a consequence, which is like an endless and somewhat evil wheel that forces you, in my case the businessman, to take charge of something that is a subsidy that I cannot provide. The truth is that I invested a lot of money in a company that works very well, with very limited prices and a good return to pay the salaries of 32 people,” he said.
He added that they are considering helping workers, but that “it will affect the final price of my product, that is, it will be reflected in the entire work chain, from the employee to the consumer. Right now I know that there are many kids who need money to live, they are working people who need to eat, pay rent. As for wages, we do the best we can, what the law says first and more, if we can. But it is true that salaries do not keep pace with increases in living standards in general. That is a reality that affects us all.”
