The former vice president of Racing Club of Avellaneda, Miguel Jimenezconfirmed this Monday that will run for president in the next elections of “The Academy”, scheduled for next December.
Thus the businessman will compete with The club’s idol and former manager of the institution, Diego Milito, and against a possible candidate from the ruling party, which has not yet been defined.
Jiménez became vice president of the club under the guidance of the current president, Victor Blancountil January of this year, when he distanced himself from the project due to differences with the president.

The entrepreneur defines himself as Defender of clubs as non-profit civil associationsin what is one of the main discussions taking place in Argentine football.
Although he has not yet defined the team that would accompany him in the event of an eventual victory, they did confirm that he obtained the endorsements with representation of the group United by Racing.
Likewise, those around him pointed out that “Professional football, amateur activities, active participation of members, improvements in infrastructure, education, and inclusion, among other points, will be some of the main management axes.”
Announcing his candidacy, Jiménez said: “I want to be president of Racing so that the partners can win. In order for us to be an institution with a serious football project and with an infrastructure that lives up to our badge, it is time for trained people. It’s time to return the club to its greatness.”
