Almost all car manufacturers have their own sports department that is responsible for the particularly dynamic models. At the Bavarian premium car manufacturer BMW, “M GmbH” is responsible for this.

Accordingly, every particularly powerful BMW has the abbreviation “M”. At Audi and Mercedes-Benz the abbreviations are “RS” and “AMG”, at Toyota performance models are given the suffix “GR”, at Hyundai an “N” indicates high performance.
