Students from San Patricio del Chañar visited the Cutral Co solar park

Mayor Gonzalo Núñez led the educational activity along with more than 20 students from the Technological Institute, with the aim of promoting technical learning and highlighting the importance of renewable energies.

The mayor of the Nequina town of San Patricio del Chañar, Gonzalo Núñez, led an educational visit to Cutral Co Solar Parkwith oil students.

According to comments from the municipality, the invitation was for 21 students who are taking training in “Drilling and completion of wells”, in the Educational Technological Campus participated in a learning day in the field of renewable energies.

In the park, the activity was led by the head of the Cabinet and Government, the engineer Walter Mardones, who, together with specialized personnel, explained to the students the operation and relevance of the solar project, highlighting its contribution to the region.

“The Technological Institute plays a fundamental role in the training of young people who will be able to enter the labor market. That they can live experiences like this, where they approach specific renewable energy projects, is key for their training,” said Mayor Gonzalo Núñez.

But the communal chief also admitted that it was “inevitable” during the visit “not to remember his own adventure training me as a company man, the expectations, dreams and objectives that drove me to grow and progress.”

The day concluded with a tour of the most notable monuments of the city of Cutral Cocombining technical learning with the enhancement of local heritage.

Last October the Educational Campus of San Patricio del Chañar received a donation of $28 million for the conditioning and completion of classrooms. The initiative was carried out through the Petrolera El Trébol SAthe company with which “Phoenix Global Resources” operates in Argentina.

At that event, Mayor Núñez thanked the assistance and stated that with these funds the operational capacity to educate at the Technological Institute is doubled. “Phoenix has been accompanying us on several issues, the hospital cooperator, donations of equipment to volunteer firefighters, and I think it is an agenda that has to be updated, because a lot is being invested in education and training. That’s why I really value that a CEO can visit San Patricio del Chañar and give us this support,” he said in reference to the visit of Pablo Bizzotto.
