The government of Santa Fe promulgated this Tuesday the law that establishes the “Free Educational Ticket Program”, ccreated last December by the local Legislature, after the approval of a project promoted by the former Peronist governor Omar Perotti.
Although the Free Educational Ticket had been implemented in 2020, during Perotti’s own administration, The novelty of the case is that Law 14,394 guarantees that the initiative remains in place regardless of who administers the province.

Meanwhile, Teachers and school assistants must be providing services in the declared educational establishment. TBoth the beneficiary and the educational establishment must be domiciled in the province of Santa Fe.
Potential beneficiaries must register on the website that the application authority establishes for this purpose. If you are under 18 years of age, the procedure must be carried out by one of your parents or by the guardian in charge.
The Free Educational Ticket project was approved last December 19, during the last session of the year in the provincial Senate. Previously, he had obtained 45 votes in favor and one negative in the Chamber of Deputies, achieving broad support.
“Fundamental right”
In this regard, the provincial deputy for Peronism Celia Arena stated that “This law truly enshrines access to a right as fundamental as education.”
“It is part of a virtuous circle of politics, which began as a campaign promise in 2019 by the then gubernatorial candidate Omar Perotti, in 2020 the program was created, and the government of Maximiliano Pullaro gave it continuity,” he celebrated.
At the same time, he recalled that currently more than 335,000 Santa Fe residents are part of this program, and observed: “There was a good debate in the commission, we talked about why it is free, when in reality the State is paying for it, but there is no charge for the beneficiary. We differentiated it from the half ticket, which was an achievement, because the system paid for it, but here it is something else. It is an effective, transparent, modern public program with a fiscally sustainable investment.”
