The model offer of the fully electric premium SUV is now being expanded. There is now a version with rear -wheel drive for the Swedes flagship – and the equipment line “Core”. This starts the entry into the Volvo EX90 at 83,900 euros (rear -wheel drive and core). In addition, there are now five- and six-seat variants of the EX90.
Speaking of seats: The material “Nordico” is used in the Volvo EX90, an in -house development of the Gothenborg engineers. Nordico consists of vinyl, recycled PET bottles and material from sustainably managed forests of Scandinavia. The advantage: It is 40 percent lighter than leather and has a 70 percent reduced CO2 footprint compared to the cow skin. However, the material properties are almost identical – so the seats related to Nordico can also be heated and cooled.
