At a late hour, the UVC McDonald’s Ried received the UVC Graz for the first Bundesliga quarter-final duel in Raiffeisen Volleydome on Sunday evening. The guests from the Styrian state capital, which were recently better in shape at the end of the basic round, had a better start. The first round clearly went to the UVC Graz with 17:25.

Another picture then offered the visitors (temporarily) in the second round. In the middle of the sentence, the Rieder took command and took the lead with 14:10. This in turn cheered the guests, who were able to equalize at 14:14. In the final phase, the Grazers once again had the better end. At 23:24, the Graz used the second set ball for the 0: 2 set lead.

With their backs to the wall, the Rieder once again fought against the impending defeat in the third set and took the lead with 10: 8. However, that was not enough because the Grazers were too strong that day. With the 21:25 in the third round, the Grazer fixed the unexpectedly clear 0: 3 away success.
