Tech companies bet on the interior: they open offices and provide employment

The companies tech, those that are based on platforms of technology modular, flexible and independent organizations that organize their core business around data and business intelligence, are committed to the provinces in the interior of the country with the opening of offices and the hiring of talent.

Globant, Finnegans, Humber and Santex, among other market-leading technology companies, choose smaller cities to carry out their operations. Among the most selected areas stand out Ushuaia, Concordia, Tandil and Resistenciawhich recently became the headquarters of companies providing services.

In this way, the installation of digital companies inside the Argentine territory offers two benefits: provide training and employment opportunities in a star sector such as digital.

One of the most representative examples is that of Finnegans, the current leader in management software development based in Concordia. “Concordia has the potential, but the drive from companies to develop it is lacking,” said Blas Briceño, CEO and founder of the company.

The investments of tech companies in the interior

Finnegans’ investment is unique in the city in that it invested 13 million pesos and has a company plan which aims to promote 200 employees within a period of 5 years, an initiative that reaches a town that is experiencing a complex situation: it is the city with the highest poverty rate in the entire country.

Globant is another case of an Argentine company focused on federalization as a commercial strategywith offices in Ushuaia, Tucumán, Rosario, Resistencia, Rosario, Mendoza, Mar del Plata, Córdoba, La Plata, Bahía Blanca and Buenos Aires.

One of the novelties by Globant was the presentation of an intelligent building in Tandil. The new structure has the particularity of being the first smart building in the city. In addition, it is the first outside the City of Buenos Aires (fourth in all of Argentina) that has Leed Platinum Certification from design to construction.

Other examples include companies such as humber, with 8 offices in Buenos Aires, San Luis, La Pampa and Santa Fe, keeping the others in Chaco and Córdoba; either santexthe company specialized in software development created by an Argentine and with a presence in 13 countries.

The arrival of tech companies also represents increasing training opportunities for the inhabitants of those cities: At Finnegans, for example, there are exclusive slots for Concordia, while Globant launched 1,000 #CodeYourFuture scholarships across the region and impact the country. These trainings also allow access to dollarized salaries while professionals can stay in their place of origin and encourage the local ecosystem.
