With this new tool, PAMI members will be able to access their prescriptions quickly at any time and thus ensure that all prescription data is correctly recorded.

So that the recipes electronic To be valid, they must have these data:

  • Professional details prescriber: name, registration, profession, specialty and address.
  • Bar-code. This allows its traceability.
  • Patient data: name, social security or prepaid insurance, date of birth, ID and sex.
  • Medication Description prescribed with generic name or international non-proprietary name, presentation, pharmaceutical form and number of units. The brand name of the medication is optional, if the professional suggests it.
  • Diagnosis.
  • Issue date.
  • Digital signature of the professional.

Pharmacies will be able to access electronic prescriptions through platforms connected to a national system (SISA). Health professionals must be registered in a national database (REFEPS), and patients will only need to present their DNI or credential at the pharmacy to pick up the indicated medications.

These recipes will be stored securely in virtual repositories that must guarantee availability, data backup and protection of patients’ rights.

And although this new modality is the new favorite norm, paper recipes will remain valid in exceptional casessuch as in areas without internet access or if there are system failures.

How can I register in the electronic prescription system?

To register in the system and be able to use this service, you must follow these steps:

  1. Generate a user in the Interactive Information System (SII).
  2. Request the access to the Electronic Prescription System with the account enabled in the SII.
  3. Once you receive the access code, modify the assigned password.
  4. Register on the platform CUP to manage access.
  5. Request permission to access the Electronic Prescription System through the CUP Systems Platform and self-manage this access.
  6. To guarantee the security of the Electronic Prescription System, complete authentication in two steps using One-Time Password (OTP). For this, it is necessary to have the Google Authenticator application installed and link the mobile device.
