It’s play off time!

It’s play off time!

With two very strong performances in the second and third game against Graz, we proved that we belong in the quarter-finals.

In my opinion, it was clear that Bolzano would pick us and we will face this task with 100% commitment. We will face a very compact team with 4 very good lines. They have players with scoring qualities right across the line-up, who can also go to work defensively very routinely. Also, they play very hard and block a lot of shots. It will be important for us that we get a lot of targets and players on goal and thus cause unrest in their defence. We did that very well in the last two games against Graz and now we need to step it up a notch.

Of course it’s going to be a tough one, but anything is possible in the playoffs. You could see that in the first meeting on Tuesday.

In the first third we approached things a little cautiously, but you can live with a 1:0 deficit after the first third in Bolzano. After that we really warmed up and had an open exchange of blows.

In addition to cheering for our team, I’m still sticking to my rehabilitation plan. The daily training units and therapies have already become routine. In the meantime I’m already longing for spring, because I’m slowly losing sight of the ergometer. I can hardly wait to go on bike rides again when the temperatures are pleasant and to pedal across the Mühlviertel.

We saw that we can beat the South Tyroleans and we want to do that on Friday with the support of our fans. I’m already looking forward to a packed hall and the special atmosphere in the fifth season.

So off to the LinzAG Arena and enjoy playoff hockey together again.

Finally, I would like to congratulate Daniel Oberkofler and Kevin Moderer on their great careers. They were great teammates and always good sportsmen.

See you soon and stay healthy
