To the reform that seeks to exclude citizens with second-instance convictions from electoral candidacies is added another electoral modification in the regime of suffrage of Argentines living abroadto enable them to do so by postal method. For its part, the reforms of the Penal Code and Criminal Procedure Code around the reiterationwhich would imply that a person who is being prosecuted for various criminal cases spends the investigation time in a confinement context before being tried. It also sought to aggravate the sentences for recidivism and the unification of sentences, and figures are established that preventive detention is extended: presumption of danger of flight, obstruction of the investigation and repetition of crime.
Finally, the trial in absentia modifies criminal procedure legislation to allow the continuity and completion of the criminal process even if the accused is absent in some crimes. In this framework, the authorization would be specified when a judge declares rebellion of the accused for not appearing before the Court, for being absent from home without justification or for having escaped from their place of detention, in the case of certain crimes considered serious.
