Karl Lauterbach doesn’t like Dubai chocolate: quarrels with daughter about a gift

The minister doesn’t like it – hype or not. Karl Lauterbach and his daughter Rosa discuss a Christmas souvenir with a wink at “X”.

There are probably numerous people in Germany who didn’t like one or perhaps even more of the Christmas presents. There’s even a Yougov poll about which gifts Germans are most annoyed about (you can find the full results). Interestingly, food is one of the gifts most likely to be criticized. And that is also the transition to Karl Lauterbach.

The Federal Minister of Health apparently received Dubai chocolate as a gift from his daughter, tried it and didn’t like it. In any case, he posted a picture of Dubai chocolate on the “X” platform and wrote “It doesn’t taste good.”

Karl Lauterbach: “Make more effort…”

Now this would only be half worth telling if an account that probably belongs to his daughter Rosa Lauterbach didn’t reply to the post and jokingly wrote: “I’ll bring you something again from Abu Dhabi. Ungrateful.” Father Lauterbach then commented smugly: “Try harder…”

Queuing for Dubai chocolate? Don’t! Make them yourself

And so the Lauterbach family seems to have had an evening that most Germans would be familiar with. An evening full of presents, little skirmishes in the family circle, a bit fun, but maybe also with a grain of truth. Who always knows exactly?
