Palestinians: dead after new attack in the Gaza Strip
Israel’s army said it began an operation overnight in Beit Hanun in the north of the Gaza Strip to fight Hamas there. There are attacks again elsewhere.
According to Palestinian reports, nine people were killed in an Israeli attack in the Gaza Strip. Israel’s army hit a house in the refugee district of Al-Maghasi in the central section of the coastal area this morning, medical sources there said.
The information could not initially be independently verified. Israel’s army said it was investigating the report.
According to its own statements, the Israeli military also began an operation that night in Beit Hanun in the north of the Palestinian territory to fight Hamas there. Civilians had previously been ordered to leave the area. Before ground troops moved in, Hamas positions in the area were also attacked from the air.
