For the Bundestag election 2025, a constituency from Saxony-Anhalt was redistributed to Bavaria due to the population development. Thus Saxony-Anhalt lost one of nine constituencies. The previous constituency 71 “Anhalt” was dissolved. As a result, six constituencies in Saxony-Anhalt were reorganized and renamed the remaining eight constituencies.
