Entry programs: Aircraft brings 132 refugees Afghans to Germany

For the second time within two weeks, a charter plane brought Afghan and its relatives to Berlin, who had received an admission of admission from Germany. As a spokesman for the Federal Ministry of the Interior announced, 132 passengers were on board the aircraft, which brought the refugees from Pakistani Islamabad to the federal capital. Among them were 57 minors.

According to the Ministry of the Interior, 25 other people from Afghanistan, who were originally also intended for this flight, were not allowed to fly at short notice “because the federal police pointed out possible discrepancies of the documents”. These cases backed would now be checked again between the authorities involved, it said.

Undoubtedly -free identity investigation as a condition

The prerequisites for entry to Germany included an undoubtedly -free identity explanation and a comprehensive security check, the spokesman emphasized. According to him, he was one of those who ended up in Berlin, a former local force with five relatives.

On February 25th, a charter aircraft, which was also started in Pakistan, landed in Berlin with 155 particularly endangered Afghans. According to the federal government, more than half of the passengers were people from the federal recording program for particularly endangered people from Afghanistan.

At that time, according to the Federal Ministry of the Interior, there were also five former local forces of German institutions with their relatives and people who had received commitments via the so -called human rights list or a bridging program. According to the federal government, new commitments are no longer granted.

Criticism of continuation of the admission

Politicians from the CDU and CSU, including some state ministers, had criticized in the past few days that the federal government did not end the entrance programs. At the same time, they called for more efforts to enable deportations to Afghanistan, where the militant Islamist Taliban had again taken over the power in August 2021.

The domestic political spokesman for the AfD parliamentary group, Gottfried Curio, said the AfD demands “the complete termination of these arbitrary flights”.

A spokesman for the Federal Foreign Office said that the admission is about people who are persecuted by the Taliban – these are, among other things, local forces, human rights activists.
