Angela Merkel warns of the fragmentation of Europe and supports higher defense spending. It also expresses concern about the political center and the strengthening of the AfD.
The former Chancellor Angela Merkel has asked Europe to cohesion in the face of current political challenges. “It is really about Germany and Europe these days,” said the CDU politician in an interview with the editor-in-chief of the Rheinische Post, Moritz Döbler, in Düsseldorf.
