The Ukraine attacks Moscow Russian information with dozens of drones. Several victims are reported from Russia’s capital. The attacks took place early in the morning.
According to Russian information, at least three people have been killed in massive Ukrainian drone attacks on Moscow. In the victims, two employees of a company in Domodedowo are around 30 kilometers south of the Russian capital, the governor of the Moscow area, Andrej Worobjow, said on Telegram. The drone attack hit the company’s parking lot shortly after 5 a.m. (local time) when the men wanted to start their shift, it said by Worobjow.
As a result of the attacks in the Moscow area, 14 people would also have needed medical help, the governor continued. In the Ramenskoje district of the Moscow area, at least seven apartments were damaged by falling drain deer. Twelve people, including three children, were evacuated. The information could initially not be confirmed independently.
Moscow airports temporarily tight
According to the Moscow Mayor Sergej Sobjanin, 74 drones were shot down – more than ever before. Starts and landings were temporarily suspended at the capital airports Domodedowo, Scheremetjewo, Wnukowo and Schukowski – for the safety of air traffic, as the Russian aviation authority announced according to the Russian news agency TASS. The temporary restrictions also applied to the airport of the city of Nischni Nowgorod, which is more than 400 kilometers east of Moscow.
Restrictions of this kind occur again and again at Russian airports in the course of drone attacks from Ukraine. Due to the use of the Russian air defense, no starts and landings are sometimes possible.
Ukraine has been defending itself against the Russian invasion with western help for more than three years. As part of her defensive fight, she always attacks goals in Russia. For their part, she too is the goal of attacks from the air again and again. Kyiv had recently offered to suspend the mutual shelling of the hinterland as the first part of a ceasefire.
