The Blues announced that Chalobah has signed a contract until 2028 with an option to extend it to 2029. No other Chelsea player has been tied to the club for a long time.
The 23-year-old had already switched to the London youth team in 2007 (!) and has since established himself in the first team. The central defender, who had made repeated appearances under Thomas Tuchel, had recently made his way into the starting XI under Graham Potter and played the last ten mandatory games from the start.
“I’m delighted to sign this contract. It’s an honor every time I put the shirt on.
