With two victories without conceding a goal against their strongest rivals, France made a perfect start to qualifying for the 2024 European Football Championship in Germany. The 4-0 show of force against the Netherlands was followed by a 1-0 away win against Ireland in Dublin. Match winners were not the usual suspects with gold goalscorer Benjamin Pavard and goalie Mike Maignan.

Things are not going well for the Netherlands, who will be contesting the final tournament of the Nations League in June. They struggled against Gibraltar “Oranges” despite numerical superiority from the 51st minute to a lackluster 3-0 victory. Bond coach Ronald Koeman then did not spare criticism. “I’m pretty shocked at what I saw. I’m disappointed it wasn’t good. I’ve never had a week like this as a team boss and I hope it never happens again. This needs to get better soon.”

South Korea’s coach Jürgen Klinsmann and his assistant Andreas Herzog are still waiting after the second international match in the service of the “Taeguk Warriors” at first complete success. After Friday’s 2-2 draw with Colombia, they lost 2-1 at home to Uruguay yesterday in Seoul.
