The Buenos Aires Games caught the attention of the lieutenant governor of the Vietnamese city of Ho Chi Minh, who was surprised that 14 of the 26 players of the world champion Argentina team come from the province of Buenos Aires. In a year in which the Buenos Aires Games celebrate their 32 uninterrupted editions, the most popular sports tournament in the country extended its registration stage until on Friday, May 5. With the aim of promoting solidarity, integration and a sense of belonging, the program multiplies its momentum in the eyes of the authorities of the aforementioned Asian country, who recently recognized its educational value in future athletes.

In the same way, sport is not only competition, so much so that the Buenos Aires Games aim to promote the inclusion of boys and girls, young people, older adults and people with disabilities and throughout its history, the event accumulated more than 20 million of participants. In addition, it should be noted that the games also have a cultural dimension that includes, for example, singing and dancing and have had notable juries such as Pedro Aznar, David Lebon, Manuel Wirtz, JAFamong others.

The Undersecretary of Sports of the Province, Leandro Luratiaffirmed: “The Buenos Aires Games are the main sports policy of the Province, of the country. Last year we had 350,000 registered and for this year we are planning to exceed that number by far, reaching Mar del Plata with 35,000 finalists.”
During the tournament more than 100 disciplines are developed, among them Taekwondo, Chess, Volleyball, Athletics, Newcom, Folklore, Malambo, Para Badminton, Wheelchair Basketball and Goalball. This edition of the Buenos Aires Games will have its Provincial Final in September in Mar del Plata.
When are the Buenos Aires Games held?
This year, the event will have its three usual stages of competition: Municipal, Regional and Provincial Final.
The first will take place May 2 to June 30.
The stipulated date for the Regional phase is scheduled between July 1 and August 31.
Finally, the Provincial Final will take place in September.
