The Boston Celtics took a 2-1 lead over the Philadelphia Sixers, defeating them 114-102 on the road tonight in Game 3 of the NBA Eastern Conference semifinal series.

Center Joel Embiid, from the local franchise, was the honoree of the night for his recent election as MVP of the American basketball league for the first time and responded with 30 points and 13 rebounds that were not enough for the victory of his team.

The Celtics, current runners-up in the NBA, were in the column behind forward Jayson Tatum, who finished with 27 points, 10 rebounds and decisive appearances in key plays for the outcome of the scoreboard.

The fourth game of the key will be played again on Sunday at the Wells Fargo Center.

The winner will meet in the final with the New York Knikcs (1) and the Miami Heat (1), who will play the third point this Saturday at the Kaseya Center in the city of the state of Florida.
