The former Spanish international joined Barca before 2005 as a 16-year-old and made his senior debut in 2008. With Barca, the current captain has won the Champions League three times, the league eight times, the Cup seven times and the Club World Cup three times.

The ninth championship title is up for grabs with five laps to go and a 13-point lead. Along with Lionel Messi, Xavi and Andres Iniesta, Busquets was part of the team that dominated European club football for years. He played over 700 competitive games for the LaLiga leaders and is the record holder with 48 “Clasico” appearances.

In addition, Busquets became world champion with Spain in 2010 and European champion in 2012. According to Spanish media, the midfielder will continue his career with a high-paying contract in Saudi Arabia.
