The previous contract of the 29-year-old left-back Renner, who has been playing for Linz since 2019, would have run until 2024. Third in the league, Renner has the most playing time of the entire squad this season with 2,949 minutes.
“Rene has played an unbelievably consistent season and is one of the best left-backs in the league,” said sporting director Radovan Vujanovic.
Sascha Horvath, who moved from Hartberg to Linz in 2021, extended until the end of the 2027 season, established himself as a regular player, recorded 24 points in 70 appearances, including 13 goals. “In the year and a half since I took office, Sascha has always been an absolute top performer at LASK,” said Vujanovic in a club broadcast.
The midfielder will also play “an important role” in the club’s future plans, Vujanovic said.
