The Argentinian beat Croatian Coric, top seed, 6-3, 6-7 (4) and 7-6 (2) in almost three and a half hours. Tomorrow he will define the tournament prior to the US Open against Lehecka.

Sebastian Baez agreed tonight to the final of the ATP 250 of tennis of Winston Salemin the United States, by defeating the top seed, the Croatian Borna Coric, in three sets.

In the only semifinal match that was played on court, the tennis player from San Martín, located in position 42 of the ATP world ranking, defeated Coric (29), with partial scores of 6-3, 6-7 (4) and 7- 6 (2), after three hours and 19 minutes of intense litigation.

Báez managed to prevail in the context of a very even match, when he collected five consecutive points in the third set tie break and took the victory.

The 22-year-old player from Buenos Aires and winner this season of the Córdoba Open and Kitzbuhel (in Austria) titles, will meet tomorrow in the definition with the Czech Jiri Lehecka (35), who benefited from the non-presentation due to injury of the American Sebastian Korda (33).

Báez will meet again next week with the Croatian Coric, in the first round of the US Open, which will be played from Monday at the Flushing Meadows complex in New York and will distribute prizes of 65 million dollars.
