Borussia Dortmund has prevented another setback in the Bundesliga. The Revierclub won 4-2 (1-2) at SC Freiburg on Saturday and turned a deficit at half-time to their second win of the season. RB Leipzig reduced the gap to league leaders Bayer Leverkusen and FC Bayern Munich to one point with a 3-0 (3-0) win against FC Augsburg on matchday four.
Bundesliga newcomers without a win
Like Leipzig, VfB Stuttgart, TSG Hoffenheim and VfL Wolfsburg also celebrated their third wins of the season. Wolfsburg defeated 1. FC Union Berlin 2:1 (2:1). Hoffenheim compounded 1. FC Köln’s misery with a 3-1 (2-0) away win. Stuttgart won 3-1 (0-0) against 1. FSV Mainz 05, who were also in crisis.
Newly promoted SV Darmstadt 98 lost their first win of the season in the Bundesliga. At the end of the fourth match day, the Hessian first division team only managed a 3-3 (3-0) draw against Borussia Mönchengladbach at home on Sunday after a 3-0 lead. After three previous defeats, the newcomer remains last, the Gladbachers saved at least their second point in the new season.
