Who will be crowned autumn champion in the regional football league? At the end of the first half of the third-highest league, league leader Voitsberg will be in a direct showdown with second-placed SPG Wels on Friday (7 p.m.).
The team from the trade fair city recently suffered a serious defeat at Vorwärts Steyr – but the performance of coach Emin Sulimani’s team was still impressive this year: Wels previously remained unbeaten for 26 games in a row. “We could have won in Steyr, I’m proud of how the team always presented itself. The team still has self-confidence.”
With a win you would be in first place, and with a defeat the gap would increase to six points. “We’re facing a high-quality team. But the same applies to Voitsberg. I’ve been in the football business long enough to know that no decision will be made today,” says Sulimani.
