Luis Manuel Diaz (58) was released on Thursday by the left-wing guerrilla group ELN. On October 28, he was taken hostage in Barrancas, northern Colombia.
Diaz’s father said he wanted to stay in Colombia despite his terrible experience. “My goal is to stay in my city, because I have my whole family in my city,” he emphasized at the press conference after his release last week.
