Bundesliga: Eintracht continues to plan with coach Toppmöller

Eintracht had recently avoided a clear commitment to head coach Toppmöller, but now there is clarity.

Eintracht Frankfurt is entering the new Bundesliga season with coach Dino Toppmöller.

“Dino used the time, was very reflective and clear. Of course he was also self-critical, with a strong focus and deductions for the new season. In my view, that is important and decisive,” said sports director Markus Krösche in an interview on the club’s website.

The 43-year-old “made a very good impression and convincingly demonstrated that he has the power to drive positive development in the new season,” Krösche continued. Toppmöller has come under increasing criticism recently, but has a contract with Frankfurt until June 30, 2026. Despite a weak second half of the season, he led Eintracht to sixth place in the table, which would even be enough to qualify for the premier class if Borussia Dortmund win the Champions League against Real Madrid on Saturday.
