Usain Bolt puts face to international campaign against human trafficking

The legendary Jamaican athlete has joined an awareness campaign against human trafficking and abuse of all kinds, which will be present at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The legend of athletics Usain Bolt He is one of the sports personalities who puts his face on a campaign by the association ‘It’s a Penalty’ aimed at raising awareness against human trafficking, during the Olympic Games 2024 and Paralympics of Paris.

This campaign has as collaborators major tourism players such as Booking.com, Accor, IHG Hotels & Resortsthe airlines British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, JetBlue, Ethiopian Airlines and Air New Zealandas well as ‘The Collective Against Tragedy’representing 28 French NGOs.

The signs will be installed throughout Franceespecially in the busiest places of Paris and in Seine-Saint-Denis (which will host numerous Olympic events), at train stations, fan zones and hotels.

Most of the people affected by trafficking are women, victims of sexual or labour exploitation. There are also cases of people forced to commit crimes or become beggars.

‘It’s a Penalty’ has already carried out 18 campaigns worldwide, including in the Tokyo Olympics in 2020 and in several editions of the Super Bowlthe final of the American football league (NFL).
