The company was founded in 2019 and in the midst of the pandemic, in 2020, they opened their first location on Corrientes Avenue and 9 de Julio, in downtown Buenos Aires. The concept was original but at the same time with the tradition of a very Argentine dish: milanesas, and thus Milanga was born, the national fast food chain that is currently about to open its tenth location, has a turnover of US$10 million a year and is expanding with the help of franchisees.

Our goal is for Milanga to reach the main points of the countryIn a few days we will be opening our 10th location, which is located in the city of La Plata and will be the first in that place. Shortly before that, we opened a location in Corrientes and Montevideo, in downtown Buenos Aires, and another one in Flores, on Avenida Rivadavia 6400. From the beginning we have sought to grow through the franchise model and we are achieving this thanks to the fact that we have a competitive, organized business model with a distinctive product such as the Milanese sandwich.. But that’s not all because we are a fast food chain that has Milanese as its base, but we also offer other products such as breakfasts, toasts, desserts, among many other options,” he explained in dialogue with Agustín Ghio, one of the leaders of Milanga.

For its part, Tomás Corrado, another of the heads of this 100% Argentinean enterprise, highlights: “Milanga also has a particularity and that is that it has its own production plant where a large part of the products that supply the franchises come from.there we make everything from sauces to bread and croissants, among many other products. This plant is located inIn the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Pompeya and has the capacity to supply more than 100 brancheswhich is why the growth plan is assured. Another key issue is that by having our own production plant, It allows us to make decisions faster, compete with better costs and offer very competitive prices.”

Franchises

According to the company, currently to install aA Milanga franchise requires an investment of between US$200,000 and US$350,000. The company offers two models, one aimed at shopping malls and the other is a street-facing store starting at 150 square meters. The business model we offer is the constant support of franchisees, from staff training to the works necessary for the installation of the premises and its ambiance. On the other hand, we are very closely involved in operational matters; we analyse the indicators of each location on a weekly basis to guide and help the franchisee in the success of their business,” explains Corrado.

According to the company’s projections,Between the decision to invest in a Milanga franchise and the opening of the establishment, you should allow between 90 and 180 days, since during that period the staff is selected, the establishment is conditioned and furnished, and the business plan is established.. “Our franchise agreement It is 10 years and the projection is that the franchisee will obtain an average return of 20% in dollars, two recovery cycles in those 10 years.“, adds Corrado.

In this context, The partners have already patented the name in Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile and the United States. “We are going to bring a 100% Argentine product to the world.”a true icon of our culture, a fast food that will be a source of pride for those of us who were born in this country and love the Milanesa sandwich.
