The recognition, awarded by more than 120 journalists from around the world, It marks a milestone in the career of the former footballer, who will now be part of a select group of sports legends.

The ceremony, which will take place at the Bicentennial Theater in León, will be broadcast live on the organization’s social networks and although there will be no access to the public, a large presence of fans is expected on the theater’s esplanade.
The president of Boca is recognized worldwide not only for his achievements at the club he presides, where he won 11 titles, including three Copa Libertadores and one intercontinental, but also for his outstanding career in Europe, especially in Villarreal, team he led to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
