Football fans will also need two subscriptions for the Champions League this season. Amazon Prime Video shows a game every Tuesday. All other games will be broadcast by the paid streaming provider Dazn. Due to the new league structure of the tournament, things can quickly become confusing. The two streaming services are the only providers with the rights to broadcast live games from the reformed Champions League. Dazn will broadcast 186 of 203 games in each of the three seasons from 2024/25. 17 games from the premier class can be seen on Prime Video. Both providers rely on well-known experts: Michael Ballack and Sami Khedira are employed at Dazn, and Tabea Kemme and Matthias Sammer at Prime Video.
ZDF shows highlights of the Champions League on free TV
Moving images of the Champions League at no additional cost are only available on ZDF. The public TV broadcaster says it has signed a contract with Uefa for the most important European football cup, which is valid for the next three seasons until 2027.
According to the second, the new agreement includes the linear exploitation rights as well as clip rights for all Champions League games, which can be broadcast on Wednesdays from 11 p.m. Part of the contract also includes the live rights for the final.
The rights for the UEFA Europa League and the Conference League are held by the RTL Group. All games from both competitions are shown on the paid streaming portal RTL+. Selected games will also be broadcast on linear free TV on RTL.
