Three years ago in the Olympic final
The Germans had gone into the team competition with good memories. In 2021 they had won the World Cup bronze, at the Olympic Games in Beijing 2022 silver. In the title fights in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, the greatest hopes are now resting on Dürr and Straßer in the individual slaloms.
World Association President Johan Eliasch officially opened the World Cup on Zwölferkogel. The opening ceremony was integrated into the team event. Around 15,000 spectators had come to the first of the upcoming competitions up to the 16th February.
