Finally an e-car for the family?  Testing the new Renault Kangoo E-Tech

So far there has been no electric family car with a lot of space on the market. Renault now wants to close the gap with the proven Kangoo. The attempt could succeed – with some drawbacks.

Until now, there has been no real family car in the market for electric cars. Such a reliable load carrier that can also take on a lavish Ikea purchase, 20 bags of garden soil or grandma’s wheelchair. And of course, he mustn’t capitulate to the family of five’s bikes on a weekend trip either. Renault now wants to close this gap – with an old friend, the Kangoo. The high-roof station wagon has been available as a combustion engine since 1997 – and now also as an electric vehicle in Germany.
