The Grieskirchner car rental company Vario Handels GmbH is insolvent and has filed restructuring proceedings without self-administration with the regional court in Wels. This is reported by the creditor protector KSV1870 in a broadcast. Accordingly, the liabilities amount to 2.5 million euros. The amount of the assets cannot currently be precisely quantified. Employees are not employed.

21 creditors are affected by the bankruptcy: According to the bankruptcy application, Vario offers them a quota of 20 percent, payable within 24 months.

Vario has been around since 2007: the company rents out leased vehicles. Because interest and energy costs have “drastically increased” in recent years, it was no longer possible to operate profitably. In the end, only negative contribution margins could be achieved: The company was therefore closed and the vehicles returned. This results in claims for damages from the lessor in the seven-figure range.
