Argentine winery shone in London club chosen by Jagger, the Beatles and Sinatra

Annabel’s is one of the most iconic clubs in London, with exclusive members and is the only club that Queen Elizabeth II has visited. in 1963 Mark Birleydedicated to the world of royal estate, opened the original Annabel’s in honor of his wife. To found the club they chose an old coal deposit in 44 Berkeley Square, just two doors from where you enter today. The project was financed by 500 friends of its founder. They each contributed 5 guineas (1 pound) a year to become life members.

Mick Jagger, the Beatles, Eric Clapton, King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia, Tina Turner, Madonna, Frank Sinatra and Elizabeth Taylor were some of the well-known visitors to this club, a unique entertainment space that respects, above all, the privacy of its members.

the english critic Tim Atkins, published its long-awaited 2021 report on Argentine wine (Argentina 2021 Special Report). In his report, this journalist and critic who holds the title of Master of Wine, chose the Pulenta Gran Corte 2018 as one of the best Wines of the year within the Bordeaux Blend and also awarded it 95 points out of 100.

According to Atkin, “It’s a mix wonderfully judged by Javier Lo Forte. Gran Corte combines Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Tannat. Intense, perfumed and well structured with flavors of liquorice, plum and blackberry; layers of fresh herbs, fine-grained tannins and 40% new wood skilfully integrated.”
